Found a problem in Widow9?

Thank you. Please tell us privately first, so we can fix it before it's made public.

Email support@mampitech.com with "Security" in the subject, and include:

• the Widow9 version (shown on the Welcome screen, or run dpkg -l 'widow9*')
• what the problem is, and the steps to show it
• how serious you think it is

What happens next

• We aim to reply within 5 working days.
• We'll keep you updated and tell you when it's fixed. Fixes reach Widow9 PCs through normal updates.
• With your permission, we'll credit you when we publish the fix.

Good-faith research

If you research Widow9 OS itself in good faith, on your own copy, and report problems to us privately, we won't take action against you. This only covers Widow9 software on machines you own. It doesn't give permission to test anyone else's systems, including mampitech.com or widow9.org's hosting.

Problems in Linux Mint, Ubuntu or other software

If the problem is in software Widow9 is built on rather than Widow9's own parts, please also report it to that project. We'll help if we can.
